Dylan Verdun Sullivan

An Australian author and the founder of Refined by Fire Press.

His writing returns to faith, recovery, memory and the meaning found in ordinary life. Quiet Unfiltered Notes: From the Fire is the ongoing journal behind that work.

His books include Kissed by Death: My Journey to Finding Life in the Darkness and Refined by Fire: Finding God in the Furnace of Trauma.

From ordinary places to longer stories

Some readers first encounter Dylan through his photographs on Google Maps. Those contributions document the places people pass through every day. Here, the writing makes room for the experiences and reflections that cannot fit inside a photograph.

Refined by Fire Press

The Press brings together independent publishing and the preservation of historical Christian literature. It grows from a conviction that testimony and carefully preserved words can continue speaking to new generations.

We do not manufacture the fire. We preserve the evidence that it burned.

A lasting record

Dylan has written about the national deposit of his memoir and devotional, and what it means to see those books become part of Australia’s preserved writing.
